Live Intentionally: Discipleship Groups
We are excited to announce the beginning of Discipleship Groups at Soul Sanctuary. Discipleship groups are a type of Life Group that operates with an expressed desire to fulfill the biblical principles of Christian discipleship. These groups are created to make a place for those in the Soul community to develop lasting and deeper relationships that will allow space for them to grow in faith, point them to Jesus, live their lives through a scriptural lens, and recognize that how we live matters. This is achieved through an intentional investment of time, micro groups (2-5 people), and one-on-one connections with your group leader. These micro groups are an opportunity for group members to take next steps in their spiritual life and personal growth by walking alongside mature believers in our community who will invest in their lives and share in truths that will create rich soil for us to live a life glorifying to God. By following Jesus’ example and those laid out in Titus 2 and Philippians 2:2, we believe that discipleship, walking in the way of Jesus together, is the foundation to building the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven.
Discipleship Groups will be a one-year commitment that will officially launch alongside regular life groups on Sunday, September 12th. Each group will be following a scripture-based workbook and guideline for growth that will allow members to fully benefit from the process. $25 will be charged to cover the cost of these workbooks. Each person will have the opportunity for connection in an intimate small group setting, while also growing in relationship with their group leader during one-on-one with weekly connections. At this time Discipleship Groups are only available to women. We are eager to launch Men’s groups in the near future.
