3 Things You Should Know About Soul Kids

As our Family Ministries Team continues to serve the families of Soul Sanctuary, we want to keep you updated with what is happening upstairs in Soul Kids after you drop your kids off with us.

1. We’re teaching your kids where they fit in God’s story of redemption

In March we implemented a new curriculum for Soul Kids Sundays. Go! has themed modules that take kids through the Bible chronologically, to show them how they can be a part of God’s story. The theme for May is The Big Build, where kids will have a chance to put their building skills to use while they hear stories about how God used ordinary people to build the early Church.

2. We’re encouraging reflection and we’re praying with your kids

In April your kids made their own reflection journals to respond to what they are learning during our lessons. They have the opportunity to write or draw answers to questions, and write out a Bible verse or a prayer request. Our small group leaders take time to pray with your kids and they guide discussions and reflection.

As well, prayer response activities led by leaders in small groups give your kids time to respond to what the Holy Spirit is teaching them and to bring their requests and needs to God. At the end of each Sunday, your kids are dismissed with a blessing just like main gathering!

3. We’re pointing your kids towards Jesus in all things

In Soul Kids we build intentional relationships and point kids towards Jesus in all things. We facilitate gatherings where we use the Bible to introduce kids to who God is, ensuring that he is the hero of every Bible story we teach. We take the time to let kids respond and find their place in God’s story through questions, fun activities, and prayer.

We are committed to helping you raise your children in the way of Jesus. You can always contact our Soul Kids team by reaching out to alyssa@soulsanctuary.ca.
