Our Family Ministry Philosophy
We believe that the message of Jesus is for everyone, our children and youth included. Here at Soul we place a strong emphasis on our family ministries and prioritize the discipleship of young people in recognition that they are at a critical time in their faith formation.
Our Family Ministries team oversees the ministry of children from birth through grade twelve and works to partner with parents and caregivers, equipping them to be the primary disciple-makers of their children. We recognize that parents and caregivers are the strongest influence in the lives of their children and that the work of the church must complement the discipleship that happens at home. Our Family Ministries team is led by Pastor Beth, our Family Ministries Pastor, and includes our staff and servant leaders that minister to our kids, youth, and parents. By working together as a team our children’s and youth staff and servant leaders are able to walk with families and students as they transition through life’s big moments. It’s not uncommon for volunteer youth leaders to be partnered with the same small group of students from grade six through grade twelve.
Children’s Pastor Search
As our Family Ministries grow, we recognize the need to expand our staff team to include a dedicated pastor for our children’s ministries. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about ministering to children, is capable of leading servant leader teams, and is aligned with the mission of Soul. We ask the Soul community to join us in prayerful consideration as we embark on a search for this new staff team member.
