Christmas at Soul

As we soon welcome the month of December, we excitedly look forward to the time we will spend together as a community celebrating the birth of Christ. Here is everything you need to know about Christmas at Soul.

Christmas Gatherings

BLUE CHRISTMAS GATHERING

Wednesday, December 21 at 7:07pm

If you struggle with celebrating Christmas, this Gathering is for you. Loss, conflict and heartache can make Christmas a difficult season — we want you to know that you are not alone. You’re invited to join us for an evening of hope as we lean into the difficulty of the season through liturgy, Scripture and song. This gathering will be livestreamed.

CHRISTMAS EVE GATHERINGS

Saturday, December 24 at 2:02pm and 4:04pm

You are invited to join us for our Christmas Eve Gatherings where we reflect on the Christmas story through Scripture and song. Your kids are important to us and our Gathering structure encourages their participation. Activity packs and tabled seating are available for families. Both gatherings will be livestreamed.

ADVENT AND SUNDAY GATHERINGS

Sundays at 10:01am

We invite you to join us as we observe Advent together on November 27, December 4, 11, and 18. On December 25 we will not meet in person, but a brief Christmas message from Pastor Gerry will be streamed across our platforms at 10:01am.

Christmas Initatives

Christmas for Everyone

Our desire is that no one from the Soul community spends the Christmas season alone. We've organized an initiative that matches willing hosts with people in the community who would otherwise spend Christmas alone.

The Giving Tree

Last Christmas we launched the Giving Tree, a large Christmas Tree in our atrium that is decorated with small paper ornaments. Our Giving Tree project is an opportunity for the Soul Sanctuary community to fill the Harvest Manitoba food bank at Living Word Temple throughout the Christmas season and new year. During the four Sundays of Advent you are welcome to take an ornament off the tree, purchase and return the items listed on the back of the ornament, placing them under the tree. Our team will ensure that the collected food and clothing items will be delivered to our partners in north Winnipeg.
