Missions Spotlight: Home of the Good Shepherd (Brazil)

This Easter the Soul Sanctuary community raised over $7,000 for Home of the Good Shepherd (HGS) in Brazil! These funds will go towards furnishing new accommodations for children at the home. Click the video to hear from Randy and Carla Redmann, the HGS field representatives!

Located in Southern Brazil, Home of the Good Shepherd provides care for children coming from unsafe living situations. Children are given the hope of a safe and prosperous future as they learn healthy communication and social skills, receive an education and experience God's love for them and their families. Home of the Good Shepherd serves 60-80 children at any given time. Aged 0-18, these children live in one of nine cottages where they receive individualized care, some children stay for weeks, months and possibly years depending their circumstance.

The team at Home of the Good Shepherd seeks to provide the highest quality of care in a Christian environment, defend the cause of the weak and homeless, while maintaining the rights of the poor and oppressed, and rescuing the needy children—recognizing that this is a genuine expression of Christ’s mission and ministry.
