Welcome To Soul Sanctuary

Going somewhere new can often be a bit intimidating or scary, but it is our goal to make you as comfortable as possible. Here, you will find information about who we are as a church, what to expect on your first time visit, our programs, directions, and more.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Upon arriving at Soul Sanctuary, you will be greeted by a member of our greeting team. You can freely find a seat in the gathering space when you get there. We want to encourage you to sit back, relax, and take it all in. Our gatherings often follow the procedure of music, kids dismissal, coffee break, and the life lesson. If you have any questions or concerns at any point, we have our Welcome Centre located in the Atrium, where you are more than welcome to chat with a representative.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH

After the children have been dismissed you may accompany them to their respective classrooms. The Nursery (infancy to age 2) and Preschool (ages 3 and 4) are at the end of the hallway on the main floor. Soul Kids (kindergarten to grade 5) is located up the stairs, down the hall and to the right. Young Life (Grade 6-8) is located up the stairs, down the hall and to the left. Staff and volunteers will walk you through the sign-in and sign-out process when you get there.

TABLES

When you arrive at Soul, move into the gathering space and find a seat. If you have small children feel free to take a seat at a circular table along the walls. The tables in these areas are equipped with toys, play-doh and colouring materials to keep your child occupied during worship. If they are making noise, it doesn't matter, we are family and family is sometimes loud. After worship the children will be called to the front to be prayed over before they are released to Soul Kids.

DEAF INTERPRETATION

We welcome the deaf community and we provide deaf interpretation during our 9:09am gathering. The interpreter sits on the right side of the stage and we've reserved a section of chairs so that you can see both the speaker and interpreter.

SECURITY

Security is important to us, we have volunteer security officers who patrol the Soul Kids hallways, washrooms and classrooms. All of our Soul Kids volunteers are certified through the Plan to Protect program. Furthermore, your child will have to be picked up and signed out by the adult who dropped them off.

ENGAGE

Find out how get involved

If you’re new to church or simply wondering how you can get more involved, stay after the 11:11am gathering for a relaxed lunch where you can enjoy some food and drink as you meet some great people. It's an opportunity to find out more about our journey as a church, all we currently are involved in and how you can be part of the ongoing vision for what's ahead. Engage takes place at our South End Campus every 6 weeks. Check out calendar to see when the next Engage is happening.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

SIMPLY PUT

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, He came down from heaven by the power of the Holy Spirit. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.

On the third day, He arose again from the dead, in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
